ABOUT ME
Hi! I’m Brenda Harms and I’m coaching people into their light.
I am a trained Industrial Engineer and spent my 20s working as a military contractor in the United States, Korea, Netherlands, and Germany. I returned to Colorado in my early 30s to co-found a software company with a hometown friend. My 40s brought an inner softening which led me to coaching full-time.
I am a certified Mastery Method life coach, having successfully completed an 11-month life coaching program through the Institute of Coaching Mastery (ICM). This program included training of somatic, emotional, and mindset coaching practices. I am also a Conscious Dying Coach and Sacred Passage Doula, having successfully completed a 6-month doula program through the Conscious Dying Collective (CDC). This program included The Best Three Months framework, to create plans for emotional, mental, spiritual, physical care and practical end-of-life needs. I have also completed the CDC’s The Dementia Journey Enrichment Course and a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Karma Yoga. I am also an advisory member of Logan County’s Council on Aging.
I am naturally a planner and it feels natural to help convert people’s wishes into organized and realistic plans. My training and personal experiences have developed my softer skills, slowing down to help a client find the deeper desire and how the person wants to been seen and heard.
I understand that everyone is truly unique – nobody will live the same life and the same death; however, identifying commonalities can make the dying experience more comforting. A doula’s services provide a sense of passage and ritual, helping the client and family celebrate this life and know that they are not alone in life and death.

Oleander Way is named after one of my family farms in Northeast Colorado.
The Great Plains can make one feel part of something larger, yet unconstrained, comfortable in being with the earth, and in the stillness. Its wide expanse of grasslands and big skies can compel you to fling out your arms and soak up the space. There is also a steady perseverance. You don’t always have the climate, part or ingredient you want so you “figure it out” and “get it done”. The challenges build a sense of self-efficacy in all of us. We believe we have the skills (or can learn the skills) to make our lives and our communities better.
I am called to coach people into their light – to see people for who they truly are and help people experience the expansiveness and self-trust that I associate with my ancestral home.
